High-speed Web Added to Keller Crescent Arsenal

Take a walk into the Keller Crescent Indianapolis Label and Package Insert operation and you will immediately notice a few major advancements in technology. Perhaps, the most dramatic is the versatile Alprinta web offset press that has been selected for the high speed and quality production of package inserts and outserts for the pharmaceutical market. Manufactured by Muller Martini, a worldwide leader in post-press finishing equipment, this new press allows Keller Crescent to produce high-volume orders in half the usual press time, while significantly reducing waste and make-ready time. It is ideal for larger production runs and products that need to be delivered in sheets or rolls. "When it comes to product launches and rapid turn-around requests, the Alprinta has met every challenge we have thrown at it", says Dan Luedke GM & VP of Operations for the site. "The application possibilities are nearly limitless." Even at its maximum machine speed-457m/min (1,500 ft/min)- superior print quality is guaranteed. In addition, Keller Crescent has added 100% high speed machine vision technology to the Alprinta press, known to be the first of its kind in North America. This technology coupled with the Alprinta provide Keller Crescent with two state-of-the-art capabilities to provide high quality package inserts and outserts for years to come.
