Shannon Walker on Quality Assurance

"The integrity and relevance of Keller Crescent's Quality Management System (QMS) continues to be confirmed through the many successful client audits we have received. While the number of audits reached an all-time high over the last year, the number of audit observations has reached an all-time low, with numerous audits without any observations. I attribute this success to the Quality Assurance Management team's commitment to continual improvement of the QMS. The team is currently involved in a standardization effort to identify best demonstrated practices across our organization, and to re-apply those practices at all locations."

Dave Brown on Bringing New Printing Technology for Package Insert Production to Keller Crescent

''The Muller Martini Alprinta press was selected as the best web offset press for production of pharmaceutical inserts and outserts after nearly 9 months of evaluations of the Alprinta and other press manufacturers' comparable presses. This will be the second press of its kind to be purchased by Keller Crescent and will be installed in October of this year at the Greensboro plant. It will have the latest technology for UV ink printing and curing, 100% vision inspection of both sides of the web, automated setup and run features and the newest lightweight paper sheeter from VITS America. This new press promises to be a great asset in the continuing battle to reduce costs and improve quality."

Jim Franklin on the Future of Operational Excellence at Keller Crescent

"Our challenge going forward is to lead our organization in a way that delivers results in a business climate where uncertainty, margin erosion and increasing customer expectations are becoming the norm. Organizations that deliver exceptional results in difficult times are those that create a culture that is passionate about eliminating waste, adopting improved workflows, embracing market changes as opportunities, and focusing on things that make a difference to the business. Our operational excellence initiatives will continue to be our best strategy to deliver measureable and sustainable results to our customers, our employees and our shareholders."
