| Keller Crescent names Corporate Lean Manufacturing Champion |

Keller Crescent is pleased to announce that Bob Papa, Vice President of Operations for the Portland Connecticut plant will expand his duties to include assisting all Keller operations in achieving the 2011 Lean Manufacturing objectives for the organization. Bob will become increasingly involved in many of the lean initiatives that Keller Crescent has across the organization. Bob’s new responsibilities include working with each site’s lean champions on identifying and driving operational excellence initiatives as it relates to waste reduction, material conservation and productivity improvements. Bob will also be primarily responsible for end of month reporting of Op Ex savings programs, accurately capturing savings related to lean activities at each of our plants, and managing re-application opportunities. Per Jim Franklin, Corporate VP Operations, “Bob has been selected for this role because the Portland Connecticut operation, under his leadership, continues to exemplify a 5S and Lean Manufacturing culture. Bob’s enthusiasm and leadership related to helping teams eliminate waste will expedite key kaizan activities / results. Bob’s strong manufacturing background adds a great deal of credibility, practicality and insight into various manufacturing processes.” |
